The Switch Drag Race: El arte del transformismo - Challenges - Netflix

Each episode, with the guidance of the four celebrity coaches, the contestants compete in the following challenges; Artistic Challenge: In this first test, each contestant has to characterize a TV personality or pop culture icon either on themselves, another contestant, or a guest. This test is judged individually as well as in groups. Depending on the episode, one of two outcomes occur; Immunity from elimination is offered to the highest performer (of the winning group, if applicable) or a nominee is chosen to head directly to the Elimination Duel Or the winning contestants (or team) progresses to the Imitation Challenge to compete for immunity, with the competitors who don't win continuing on to the Singing Challenge.

Imitation Challenge: In this second test, each contestant has to maintain the characterizations of their character/icon make-over from the previous challenge and add an element of acting, singing, dancing, or lip-sync performance. Immunity and nominations are chosen in the outcome of this challenge as well. In the first episode of Season 1, the weakest performer was eliminated from this challenge by majority vote from the judges. Singing Challenge: In this third test, each individual contestant has to sing a song of their own choosing live in front of the judges and a studio audience. At the end of each presentation, each member of the judges panel assigns a point score ranging from 1 to 7, based on the quality of each contestant's performance. After the first score is given, the first contestant must sit in the “Elimination chair” until another performer replaces them by having a lower score than them. If the next performer receives a higher score than the person in the chair, they are safe from elimination and proceed backstage to prepare for the next episode. Ultimately, the contestant with the lowest score is nominated to go up for elimination in the Elimination Duel. Elimination Duels: In this last test, the lowest scored performer in the episode's Singing Challenge is put up against the performer nominated from one of the other challenges. They both perform a live song of their choosing and the judges vote by majority who will be eliminated from The Switch. Typically, contestants that aren't competing that episode are shown watching the Elimination Duel backstage in the make-up room alongside singing coach Patricia Maldonado Aravena. In the event of a tie in the voting, Juan Pablo González acts as the president of the judges panel and casts a final vote for the elimination. The eliminated contestant is typically honored with a montage of their run on the show and is ultimately shown writing a farewell with a tube of lipstick on a mirror in the briefing room à la the American Drag Race.

La Sonata del Silencio - César Atahualpa Rodríguez - Netflix

César “Atahualpa” Rodriguez Olcay (Arequipa, August 26, 1889 – March 12, 1972) was a Peruvian poet; a self taught, cultural writer. Born César Augusto Rodríguez Olcay, he took on the pseudonym, “Atahualpa”, after the Arequipan poet Percy Gibson. During the period of 1908-1913, he spent a lot of time with José María Eguren, Manuel González Prada and Abraham Valdelomar, writers of stature who praised his work and considered him "la nueva expresión de la lírica nacional”- the new expression of the national lyric. At the end of 1916, along with Percy Gibson, Rodriguez founded the group “El Aquelarre” and published four issues of a magazine which bore the same name, initiatives that were an incentive for Arequipa intellectual life. “El Aquelarre” appeared around the same time as that the movement “Colónida” in Lima, the group “Norte” of Trujillo, and “La Tea” of Puno. However, the influence of “El Aquelarre” was especially Modernistic, Symbolistic and Parnassianistic. (See Parnassianism) In 1917, he was appointed director of the public library of Arequipa, a post he held until 1955. In 1926, Rodriguez's first book, La torre de las paradojas, was published by La Editorial Nuestra América de Buenos Aires. The book preceded one vast work in prose, as in verse and essay. According to Arequipa literary critic Titus Cáceres Cuadros, “Poetry of Rodriguez had enough social emotion and a strong regional accent.” In 1966, Congress decorated him with the highest laurels: la Orden del Sol del Perú y la Orden del Congreso, and the municipality of Arequipa awarded him the city gold medal. In the same year, Rodriguez published Sonatas en tono de Silencio, edited by the Ministry of Public Education. Centrally themed on the search for solitude as a means to become the primary source of his philosophical writings, the book brought together poems that are representative of the sophistication of the poet.

90-60-90 Modelos - Segundo Cernadas - Netflix

Pedro Cernadas (born March 20, 1972 in Viedma, Río Negro, Argentina), better known as Segundo Cernadas, is a telenovela actor who has gained international fame, both in South America and other parts of the world. Cernadas is considered a teen idol in Argentina; many teenaged girls there follow his career. Cernadas began to show interest in becoming an actor when he was a teenager himself. Cernadas was convinced by a show business insider that he should change his name, so he chose Segundo to be his artistic first name. He chose the name to honor his favorite fictitious person, the main character in Don Segundo Sombra. Pablo Ponce, a well known Argentine acting instructor, was Cernadas' first professional acting teacher. Soon after, Cernadas was accepted by one of Argentina's top show business academies. Although Cernadas' main acting interests were in the theatrical area, soon after being accepted by the academy, he made his television debut, acting in Montana Rusa, Otra Vuelta (“Rollercoaster, (let's go) One More Time”). He followed that by participating, as a married medical doctor in 90-60-90 Modelos. In 1997, Cernadas made his third appearance at a telenovela, in Ricos y Famosos (“Rich and Famous”), which became a major international hit. 1998 was an important year in Cernadas' life: after participating in Milady: La Historia Continua (“Milady: The Story Continues)”, which was the sequel to Argentine soap opera classic Milady, he was seriously considering moving to Mexico to work there, but he was convinced to stay in his home country by producer Raúl Lecouna, who offered Cernadas his first starring role as a telenovela actor, in another soap that would become a major hit: Muñeca Brava (“Wild Angel”). This soap opera had such a wild success, that Cernadas travelled across Argentina, and to many other countries, to relive his character at various acting venues, for the next two years. In 2000, he played the role of “Bebo” in Los Buscas de Siempre (“The (same) Bullies of Always)”. Later on that year, he would once again play a doctor, in Los Medicos de Hoy (“Today's Doctors”). Cernadas visited Mexico once again, Miami and Caracas, in an effort to find a job. He was hired by Venezuela-based Iguana Productions to star in Todo Sobre Camila (“All About Camila”). He travelled to Ecuador during the filming of this telenovela, as the show was co-produced by Iguana Productions, and an Ecuatorian company. But, despite all the work that he had done, Cernadas would not become a major international super-star until 2002, when he flew to Peru to act in Bésame Tonto (“Kiss me, Fool”), alongside Gianella Neyra. The soap opera, which featured romantic, family and even mafia twists, became the number one show in many countries, such as the Dominican Republic, Chile, Panama and many other countries. This soap opera marked the beginning of a period in which Cernadas began to be recognized as a teen idol by girls and young women outside Argentina as well. In 2003, he participated in Dr. Amor (“Dr. Love”) . By 2004, Univision began to show Bésame Tonto in the United States; and Cernadas became the first Argentine actor to star in a Philippine telenovela, when he went to Manila to participate and team-up with Iza Calzado in Te Amo, Maging Sino Ka Man (“I Love You, Whoever You Are”). In 2005 he returned to Argentina and worked at Amor en custodia (2005) and Se dice amor (2006).

Ruta 35 - La Ruta de los Conquistadores - Netflix

La Ruta de los Conquistadores, known as the first mountain bike race of its kind, is a multi-stage race held in Costa Rica. La Ruta de los Conquistadores consists of crossing Costa Rica from the Pacific to the Atlantic Coast in the course of three days. It is an individual race, covering approximately 400 kilometers (250 miles) of terrain. First staged in 1992, the three-day race tests athletes with its 8000 (approx.) meters of elevation gain and strong climate changes. The event is also open to amateurs, having a 12-hour window to finish each stage, if competitors do not finish they are still welcome to race the next day but their cumulative times will not count on the overall results. “La Ruta de los Conquistadores pushes some of the world’s strongest mountain bikers to their limits on one of the toughest, most beautiful courses on Earth.” Kevin Vermaak, founder of the Cape Epic event in South Africa, took inspiration in La Ruta de los Conquistadores.

Fariña - Mimi Fariña - Netflix

Margarita Mimi Baez Fariña (April 30, 1945 – July 18, 2001) was a singer-songwriter and activist, the youngest of three daughters to a Scottish mother and a Mexican-American physicist Albert Baez. She was the younger sister of the singer and activist Joan Baez.

Fariña - Bread and Roses - Netflix

In 1974, Fariña founded Bread and Roses, a nonprofit co-operative organization, designed to bring free music and entertainment to institutions: jails, prisons, hospitals, juvenile facilities, and nursing homes. Initially it was active in the San Francisco Bay area, but later, nationally. It still remains in operation, producing 500 shows per year. The organization's name came from “Bread and Roses”, a 1911 poem by James Oppenheim, which is commonly associated with a 1912 garment workers strike in Lawrence, Massachusetts. Though she continued to sing in her later years, releasing an album in 1985 and performing sporadically, Fariña devoted most of her time to running Bread and Roses. In the late 1980s, she teamed with Pete Sears to play a variety of benefit and protest concerts. Many concerts were concerned with human rights issues in Central America, especially the U.S.-backed civil wars in Guatemala and El Salvador. They once set up to play on the abandoned railroad tracks outside the Concord Naval Weapons Center in California. Surrounded by military police, Fariña and Sears played a show for people protesting U.S. weapons being shipped to government troops in El Salvador. In 1986, she took the time to record her own album Mimi Fariña Solo. Fariña used her connections with the folksinging community to elicit help in her focus with Bread and Roses, including Pete Seeger, Paul Winter, Odetta, Judy Collins, Taj Mahal, Lily Tomlin, Carlos Santana, and Bonnie Raitt, and others. In 2000, Bread and Roses brought performers to play at more than 500 concerts in 82 institutions.

She lives in a shack located in the middle of nature, near the Narvaez´s ranch property line. Miguel and Octavio are siblings and they both own the Narvaez´s ranch, which is mortgaged because of the bad administration Miguel, the older brother, has made. Octavio is a pilot and arrives in the ranch in need of money since he has lost his job and wants the lands to be sold. He doesn´t imagine that soon he will forget this purpose and will discover that the earth, the sowing and sharing with the workmen become a source of passion for him.

Octavio meets Maricruz while he is traveling around the lands and catches his foreman mistreating her. Regardless of her humble origins, he defends her as a gentleman. Immediately, he is trapped by her sympathy and beauty. When Octavio discovers the malice with which Lucia, his sister-in-law, treats Maricruz, he gets really angry and decides to marry Maricruz in order to teach his brother and Lucia a lesson. However, when he receives a tempting job offer as a pilot, Octavio leaves the ranch and asks his brother to give Maricruz his part of the land. Lucia and her cousin Esther set a trap to Maricruz who is accused unjustly of being a thief and ends up in jail. Fortunately, a lawyer believes in her and achieves her freedom; but when she returns, she is shocked to discover that her grandparent died during a fire.

Maricruz leaves to the capital city with her sister Solita and starts working as a maid at Alejandro´s house, who happens to be her father, without any of them knowing about the bond between them. Maricruz gains his trust and love, and he helps her to get educated and become a high society woman. In the meantime she accepts to help him with the administration of the casino in a cruise ship, posted in Isla Dorada. There she will have to face the ambition of the Canseco sisters Carola and Raiza, who keep their lives comfortable at Alejandro´s cost. Alejandro´s butler discovers Maricruz´s birth certificate where her real name appears: Maria Alejandra Mendoza Olivares. In order to avoid the big impression that could kill Alejandro, since he suffers from a heart disease, he decides not to reveal him that Maricruz is his daughter, but he does tell Maricruz the truth and she feels very happy with such news. Miguel informs his brother that Maricruz disappeared after her grandfather´s death. Octavio arrives in the casino, invited by a friend. Octavio´s good looks catch the interest of sophisticated women and he feels flattered, but he cannot forget Maricruz. He doesn´t imagine that the humble youngster who used to be his wife is no other than the elegant Maria Alejandra Mendoza, the manager and main host of the casino.

La vuelta al mundo de Willy Fog - Around the World with Willy Fog - Netflix

Around the World with Willy Fog (Spanish: La vuelta al mundo de Willy Fog, Japanese: アニメ80日間世界一周) is a Spanish-Japanese animated adaptation of Around the World in Eighty Days by Jules Verne produced by Spanish studio BRB Internacional and Televisión Española, with animation by Japanese studio Nippon Animation, that was first broadcast on TVE1 in 1984. In the same vein as BRB's Dogtanian and the Three Muskehounds, the characters are anthropomorphisms of various animals as the species depicted are of much greater variety than in that series. The core trio are all felines being pursued by three canine foes. Willy Fog (Phileas Fogg in the original book) is depicted as a lion, while Rigodon (Passepartout) is a cat, and Romy (Aouda) is a panther. An English dub of the series was directed by Tom Wyner, which featured artists such as Cam Clarke (as Rigodon), Gregory Snegoff (Inspector Dix), Steve Kramer (as Constable Bully) and Mike Reynolds. While the series never achieved popularity in the United States, the English version found fame when it was broadcast on Children's BBC in the United Kingdom. The series was initially screened in 1984 in the UK (and has been repeated many times since) and then on RTÉ in Ireland, while other dubs gained the series fanbases in several other countries. The series was also dubbed into Japanese and aired on Japan's TV Asahi in 1987, where it was titled Anime Around the World in 80 Days (アニメ80日間世界一周, Anime Hachijūnichikan Sekai Isshū). With all of the international versions, the height of popularity remains in Spain, where a sequel series, Willy Fog 2, was produced in 1993 which has the characters in adaptations of Verne's science fiction novels, Journey to the Center of the Earth and 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea. Furthermore in 2008, the series spawned a live-action theatrical musical show in celebration of its 25th anniversary.

Caso Cerrado: Edición Estelar - WKAQ-TV - Netflix

WKAQ-TV, virtual channel 2 (UHF digital channel 28), is a Telemundo owned-and-operated television station licensed to San Juan, Puerto Rico. The station is owned by the NBC Owned Television Stations subsidiary of NBCUniversal (itself a subsidiary of Comcast) as a sister station to New York City NBC flagship WNBC (WNBC is actually simulcast on WKAQ's third digital subchannel) and fellow Telemundo O&O stations WNJU and WSCV. WKAQ-TV maintains studios on Roosevelt Avenue in San Juan, and its transmitter is located near the Bosque Estatal de Carite mountain reserve. WKAQ-TV operates a semi-satellite: WORA-TV (channel 5) in Mayagüez, which re-broadcasts over 95% of WKAQ-TV's programming under an affiliation agreement for the western region of Puerto Rico. The station formerly operated WOLE-TV (channel 12) in Aguadilla as another satellite station. The station also has three low-power translator facilities: W09AT in Fajardo, W28EH-D in Adjuntas and W28EQ-D in Utuado.

Caso Cerrado: Edición Estelar - History - Netflix

WKAQ-TV first signed on 28 March 1954 as the first television station in Puerto Rico. The station was founded by Ángel Ramos, founder of El Mundo (The World) and Puerto Rico's first licensed radio station, WKAQ. Ramos wanted to maintain a consistent branding inter-proprietorially using the “mundo” theme, and decided to brand WKAQ-TV as Telemundo (“Tele-World”). Ramos had tried to obtain a television station license as early as the mid-1940s, but due to a licensing freeze for all new American television stations imposed by the Federal Communications Commission (FCC), Ramos had to wait until 1954. WKAQ began broadcasting in color in 1968. During the station's history, WKAQ-TV battled fiercely with WAPA-TV to become the highest-rated in Puerto Rico, thanks, in great part, to none other than Ramón Rivero (better known as Diplo), the most famous and influential actor/comedian in the history of Puerto Rico, who was under an exclusive contract with Angel Ramos, and who, in 1954 produced the first comedy/variety show for WKAQ-TV, La Taberna India, followed by La Farándula Corona. During the 1970s and 1980s, WKAQ-TV (then branded as Telemundo Canal 2), was a major producer of Puerto Rican Spanish soap operas. The station was also known by its “fingers” logo (a bold number 2 with a left-handed silhouette raising two fingers, replacing the negative space within the “2” numeral), which was used from 1976 to 1992. During this time, it called itself “El canal de los dedos” (“The channel of the fingers”). WKAQ-TV has produced and broadcast recognized local shows such as El Show de las 12, La Gente Joven de Menudo, En Casa de Juanma y Wiwi, Los Kakucomicos, Teatrimundo, Musicomedia, El Show de Chucho, Telecine de la Noche con Manolo Urquiza, Noche de Gala, Estudio Alegre, La Pension de Doña Tere, El Show de Nydia Caro, No te Duermas, Marcano El Show, Con lo que Cuenta este País, Videoteces, Super Sabados, Fantastico, El Tio Nobel, Telecómicas, Al Grano con Zervigón, Ahora Podemos Hablar and Dame un Break. It also produced famous telenovelas such as El Hijo de Angela Maria, Tomiko, Cristina Bazán, El Idolo, Viernes Social, La Verdadera Eva, Rojo Verano, Modelos S.A., Coralito and Tanairi. Professional Wrestling also aired as well such as the World Wrestling Council in the early 1980s, Americas Wrestling Federation in the early 1990s, International Wrestling Association (Puerto Rico) Impacto Total and Zona Caliente and WWF Shotgun Saturday Night and Metal (1998–2001). When Telemundo spun-off in 1987, the station started branding itself as “Telemundo Puerto Rico” (before, WKAQ-TV had branded itself as either “Telemundo” or just “Canal 2”). Since then, WKAQ-TV has since then become one of Telemundo's flagship stations, as well as the recognized original “Telemundo”. It has been highly criticized that because of the station's affiliation to the Telemundo network, locally produced programming has been traded for “enlatados”, or foreign Spanish programming such as Mexican and Venezuelan telenovelas. To avoid this criticism, in 2006, WKAQ-TV aired the first Puerto Rican written and produced telenovela in 15 years: Dueña y Señora. To the general population, WKAQ-TV is still known simply as “Telemundo”, and it is branded as such to this day. In 2005, WKAQ-TV became a superstation when NBCUniversal reformatted its entertainment-based cable channel Telemundo Internacional into Telemundo Puerto Rico. The channel aired WKAQ-produced programs such as No te Duermas and TVO, as well as the station's news program, Telenoticias. Telemundo Puerto Rico was aimed at Puerto Ricans and other Caribbean communities living in the mainland United States. The superstation feed, however, was discontinued in early 2008. On 9 October 2007, NBC Universal announced that they had put WKAQ-TV up for sale, following its acquisition of Oxygen Media. However, NBC Universal took the station off the market on 21 December. On 25 August 2008, WKAQ-TV, in co-production with the Telemundo network, launched the morning news and lifestyle show Levantate from its San Juan studios. The station also began to air a local teen drama series, Zona Y, which achieved success in the Puerto Rican teen market. On 23 April 2009, WKAQ-TV became the first commercial station in Puerto Rico to begin broadcasting its programming in high definition with its telecast of the Billboard Latin Music Awards.

Corazón Salvaje - Corazón salvaje (novel) - Netflix

Corazón salvaje (locally [koɾaˈson salˈβaxe]; English: Wild Heart) was a novel written by prolific Mexican writer Caridad Bravo Adams and published in 1957 after it had been adapted to the screen the previous year. The story takes place in Martinique in 1903 and describes the life in the Caribbean of a boy who grows up to be a pirate (while his half-brother goes to study in France), and the two sisters who fall in love with him.

Corazón Salvaje - Plot summary - Netflix

This novel, originally by Caridad Bravo Adams is set in the Caribbean, specifically in the French colonies. The Mexican adaptation is set in the Atlantic coast of Mexico. The following plot summary is based on the 1993 version by Televisa, and is described using in-universe tone. Francisco Alcazar is a wealthy landowner, who owns sugar cane fields. Francisco is married to Sofia, a severe and uncompassionate woman, with whom he has a son named Andres. Before his marriage to Sofia, Francisco had an affair with a married woman who was physically abused by her husband. The woman became pregnant and died when the child was 3 years old. This love-child is, in fact, Francisco's true firstborn. When this woman became pregnant, her husband refused to recognize the boy as his son. He also did not allow Francisco to recognize the child as his own. Thus, the boy named “Juan”, became known as “Juan del Diablo” (Juan of the Devil) because he had no last name. Juan's mother eventually died of the shame and from the physical abuse she had received from her husband. Juan was raised with no love or instruction, in poverty and neglect. In his early teens, Juan's stepfather dies. Francisco, hiding the fact that Juan is his son, decides to invite him to live at his estate with his family, on the pretext of being a playmate for Andrés. Sofia finds out the truth and tries to send Juan away, to which Francisco objects. Finally, Francisco has an accident while riding his horse before he could legally recognize Juan as his son. Francisco leaves a letter with his intentions addressed to his friend and lawyer Noel Mancera. Sofia seizes the letter and hides it. On his deathbed, Francisco sends for his son Andrés, and while not telling the truth, asks him to care for Juan as a brother. After his death, Sofía sends Juan away without saying anything to Andrés. Eventually, Sofia decides to send Andrés to boarding school in France. Juan grows up among the sailors and pirates of the port-city, earning a shocking reputation for dirty business (contraband of liquor), ruthlessness, and harboring unbound loyalty from his men. Juan is also a womanizer, his heart is still untaken. He has learned the identity of his biological father because Noel Mancera has told him. Through the years, Mancera has given Juan some education, and even offered to give him his last name. However, Juan refuses the offer because he feels that a last name is unwarranted in his chosen occupation. Meanwhile, Mónica and Aimée are two beautiful young countesses, daughters of the deceased Count of Altamira, a distant cousin of Sofia de Alcazar. The Altamira family are very respectable in high society, but they now find themselves in bankruptcy. Their only asset is their nobility and beauty, and the long promise of betrothal between Monica and Andrés. Unfortunately for Mónica, Andres has forgotten about their engagement. While visiting Mexico City, Andres meets Mónica's younger sister. Aimee is beautiful, flirty and selfish. She shows interest in Andrés because he has wealth, influence, and power. Andrés falls completely in love with Aimee, a fact he later shares with his mother when she comes to visit him. When Sofia returns home, she informs Catalina de Altamira that Andres has broken the engagement with Monica because he is now intent in marrying Aimee. Catalina is mortified at the thought of Monica's heartbreak. With her family's financial ruin in mind, Catalina reluctantly agrees to an engagement between Aimee and Andres. When Monica discovers that Andres has broken their engagement in order to marry her sister, she is immediately heartbroken. Monica decides to enter a convent to become a nun. Monica denies her feelings for Andres and tells everyone that becoming a nun is her true calling. Meanwhile, Aimee returns to her hometown with her mother. One day, while walking along the beach, she spies Juan taking a bath in his beach house. Aimee had never met Juan and is unaware of his past or his connection to the Alcazar family. She watches him from a distance, but Juan sees her. Over the next few days, Aimee returns several times to spy on Juan. He decides to confront her and catches her while she's hiding. Soon after, Juan and Aimee fall in love and become lovers. Juan goes away on a business trip and Aimee promises to wait for his return and marry him. When Andres arrives in his hometown, Aimee ignores her promise to Juan and agrees to marry Andres. Juan returns from his business trip several weeks later. Juan discovers that Aimee is now married to his half-brother and decides to kidnap her so that she carries out her promise. Andres, who knows nothing about his kinship to Juan and the affair between him and his wife, decides to employ him as the steward of Campo Real, his country estate. Meanwhile, Monica leaves the convent to spend some time in the countryside with her family. Monica quickly discovers the affair between Juan and Aimee. Monica confronts her sister, but Aimee refuses to end her affair with Juan. Since Monica decides to leave the convent, Andres attempts to redeem himself by proposing an engagement between Monica and his friend Alberto de la Serna. Meanwhile, Andres learns that Juan is actually his brother and that he had an unseemly affair with a young lady in his household. Andres immediately assumes that the lady in question is Monica. Because of this misunderstanding, Monica is pressured to get married immediately. Monica agrees to get married in an attempt to protect Andres and her sister from the impending scandal, but she refuses to marry Alberto. Instead, Monica decides to marry Juan because she believes this is the only way to prevent Aimee to continue her affair with him. In an unexpected turn of events, Juan accepts to marry Monica. Aimee is filled with jealousy and rage at the thought of Juan being married to her sister. Aimee spends all her time plotting and scheming to destroy Monica's engagement to Juan. Unfortunately for Aimee, Juan is no longer interested in her. He is now captivated by Monica's beauty and her kind demeanor. At the same time, Monica discovers a whole different side to Juan's personality. Monica learns that despite Juan's rough exterior, he can also be kind, gentle, and noble. Against all odds, Monica and Juan slowly begin to fall in love. Their happiness is short lived when Andres finds out about Juan's affair with Aimee.

Club de Cuervos - 3% - Netflix

3% is a Brazilian dystopian thriller web television series created by Pedro Aguilera, starring João Miguel and Bianca Comparato. Developed from a 2009 independent pilot episode, it is the first Portuguese-language Netflix original series and the second non-English production, after the Spanish-language series Club de Cuervos. The series is set in an unspecified future when the squalor of a breeding population is given a single chance to advance to the “better side” of society affording privilege, technological superiority and affluence in the distant “Offshore”, else abandoned to the continued depravation and poverty of the “Inland”. Candidates for the much lauded “Process” of application must be 20 years of age with only 3% of the candidates succeeding. Most of the unsuccessful candidates are simply “eliminated” and are returned to their previous life of struggle, whilst some who partake in the “Process” fail to survive. The first season, consisting of 8 episodes, became available on Netflix worldwide on November 25, 2016. In December 2016, Netflix renewed the series for a second season, which was released on April 27, 2018. On June 4, 2018, the series was renewed for a third season, which is scheduled to be released in 2019.

Club de Cuervos - Main - Netflix

João Miguel as Ezequiel, the current head of the Process. He is intense, mysterious, short-tempered, and conflicted by ideal extremes. Bianca Comparato as Michele Santana, the main protagonist of the series and a naive young woman who has a very strong sense of justice. She has no family and was raised by her brother, who did not return after being sent to the Process. Michel Gomes as Fernando Carvalho, raised by his father, who fostered in him the singular purpose of passing the Process. A wheelchair user, Fernando is disdained by some candidates who do not believe in his chances to successfully complete the Process. Rodolfo Valente as Rafael Moreira, egocentric, selfish, sarcastic, and willing to do anything to pass, even cheat. He hides his mysteries and believes the ends justify the means. Vaneza Oliveira as Joana Coelho, originally sem registro (without registration), an orphan who survived on her own at the margins of society, on the streets of the Inland. Intelligent and capable, she interacts with few other candidates and shows little interest in the Process. She seems to be there to escape rather than to pass to the Offshore. Rafael Lozano as Marco Álvares, from a family known to always pass in the Process and who are waiting for him in the Offshore. (season 1; recurring season 2) Viviane Porto as Aline, a young and ambitious employee of the Council, with the mission to overthrow Ezequiel and become the next head of the Process. Plaza de España - Plaza de España (Santa Cruz de Tenerife) - Netflix

Plaza de España (Spain Square), is the largest square in the city of Santa Cruz de Tenerife and the Canary Islands (Spain). The square is located in the centre of town, 1.4 km north of the Auditorio de Tenerife. This square is considered one of the “main squares” of the island of Tenerife, together with the Plaza del Cristo de La Laguna in San Cristóbal de La Laguna and the Plaza de la Patrona de Canarias in Candelaria. In the heart of the city stands the great artificial lake fountain, a work of Swiss architects Herzog & de Meuron. The Plaza de España is surrounded by the Palacio Insular de Tenerife, the Palacio de la Carta and the Plaza de la Candelaria. In the centre of the square stands Monumento a los Caídos (a tribute to the fallen in the Spanish Civil War). The square was built in 1929 on the historic Castillo de San Cristóbal, a bastion for defending the island of piracy, currently there are only a few walls of the original building on display in an underground tunnel under the square. Recently the square was refurbished by the Swiss architects Herzog & de Meuron. At one end next to the lake of the Plaza de España is the large sign of the tourist brand of the city: “Santa Cruz, el corazón de Tenerife” (“Santa Cruz, the heart of Tenerife”). The structure measures 11, 1 meters in length and 1.4 meters in height. The letters are white except for the last “a” of the word Santa, which is an inverted blue heart in whose top there is another heart in this green case placed in natural position. During important events the sign is repainted in different colors and with different symbols.
