Lindenstraße - Lindenstraße - Netflix

Lindenstraße (literally “Lime Street”) is a German television drama series, broadcast by Das Erste. The first episode aired on 8 December 1985 and since then new episodes have aired weekly. Its current timeslot on Das Erste is Sundays at 18:50. The events of the Sunday episode usually take place on the Thursday before the show, based on the TV station's original plan of airing the episodes Thursday night. Prior of the start of the show, the timeslot was switched to Sunday evening but the Thursday remained the day the events usually take place as the show shall feature the daily life routine of the protagonists on a working day. Exceptions are the so-called holiday episodes that take place on Sunday, such as for Christmas and Easter and also on important election days (especially the election to the German Bundestag). Setting the pace for other soap operas in Germany, the first episodes were met with mostly bad reviews. However, Lindenstraße soon became one of the most successful shows on German TV.

Friesland - Friesland Foods - Netflix

Royal Friesland Foods (Koninklijke Friesland Foods N.V.) was a Dutch company that develops, produces and sells branded dairy products and fruit-based drinks. Royal Friesland Foods has a strong presence in Western Europe, Central Europe, West Africa and Southeast Asia. In 2008, Friesland Foods merged with Campina, under the new name of FrieslandCampina. The process was announced in December 2007. The EU conditioned the merger to the sale of certain cheese and dairy drink divisions by both companies.

Friesland - Overview - Netflix

Royal Friesland Foods employs 15,312, of whom 10,000 work outside the Netherlands. The cooperative's leading brands are Appelsientje, Bonnet, Chocomel/Cécémel, Completa, CoolBest, Debic, DubbelFrisss, Dutch Lady, Extran, Frico, Friso, Foremost, Friesche Vlag, Frisian Flag, Fristi, Milli, NoyNoy, Peak, Pöttyös Túró Rudi, Rainbow, and Taksi. Royal Friesland Foods is organized as a cooperative, with roots going back to 1879. It has grown through mergers and takeovers, the most significant of which occurred in late 1997, when four Dutch dairy cooperatives joined to create the business in its current form. In December 2001, KFF NV acquired the Drinks & Dairy division of Numico including the brands Chocomel/Cécémel, Fristi and Extran. Royal Friesland Foods gained its current name in June 2004 after Queen Beatrix of the Netherlands granted it the Royal status (“Koninklijk” in Dutch) in honour of its 125th anniversary. Prior to that, the company was known as Friesland Coberco Dairy Foods.

Jerks - Hypnic jerk - Netflix

A hypnic jerk, hypnagogic jerk, sleep start, sleep twitch, myoclonic jerk, or night start is an involuntary twitch which occurs when a person is beginning to fall asleep, often causing them to jump and awaken suddenly for a moment. Hypnic jerks are one form of involuntary muscle twitches called myoclonus. Physically, hypnic jerks resemble the “jump” experienced by a person when startled, sometimes accompanied by a falling sensation. Hypnic jerks are associated with a rapid heartbeat, quickened breathing, sweat, and sometimes “a peculiar sensory feeling of 'shock' or 'falling into the void'”. A higher occurrence is reported in people with irregular sleep schedules.

The song reached number one on the chart of the Danish version of the iTunes Store and was the number one song in rotation on radio. The song is also a hit in Australia, being played on high rotation on Triple J radio; it later placed number nine in the Triple J Hottest 100 2007 music poll. Sokolinski has self-released one EP Not Sokute, and collaborated with The Go! Team and Cornershop, the latter on a song called “Something Makes You Feel Like”. She has her own record label called Babycat Records and is signed to Because Music in France. In 2010, her song “I'll Kill Her”, was sampled by Cee Lo Green on his Stray Bullets mixtape under the track of the same name. In 2011, she wrote a song and featured in the animated short film Mourir Auprès De Toi, which was co-written and directed by Spike Jonze. Tom Turbo - Toyota Supra - Netflix

The Toyota Supra (Japanese: トヨタ スープラ, Toyota Sūpura) is a sports car/grand tourer that was produced by Toyota Motor Corporation from 1978 to 2002. The styling of the Supra was derived from the Toyota Celica, but it was both longer and wider. Starting in mid-1986, the A70 Supra became a separate model from the Celica. In turn, Toyota also stopped using the prefix Celica and began just calling the car Supra. Owing to the similarity and past of the Celica's name, it is frequently mistaken for the Supra, and vice versa. First, second, and third generation Supras were assembled at Tahara plant in Tahara, Aichi, while the fourth generation Supra was assembled at the Motomachi plant in Toyota City. The Supra also traces much of its roots back to the Toyota 2000GT with the main instance being its engine. The first three generations were offered with a direct descendant to the Toyota Crown's and 2000GT's M engine. All four generations of Supra produced have an inline 6-cylinder engine. Interior aspects were also similar, as was the chassis code “A”. Along with this name and car Toyota also included its own logo for the Supra. It is derived from the original Celica logo, being blue instead of orange. This logo was used until January 1986, when the A70 Supra was introduced. The new logo was similar in size, with orange writing on a red background, but without the dragon design. That logo, in turn, was on Supras until 1991 when Toyota switched to its current oval company logo. (The dragon logo was a Celica logo regardless of what color it was. It appeared on the first two generations of the Supra because they were officially Toyota Celicas. The dragon logo was used for the Celica line until it too was discontinued.) In 1998, Toyota ceased sales of the Supra in the United States and in 2002 Toyota officially stopped production of the Supra in Japan. Generation names are A40, A60, A70, A80. A trend started by American owners was to name the cars using Volkswagen Mark terms but this was never adopted by Toyota nor used in any of its publications. The official Toyota names refer to the chassis codes only. Toyota uses the name Mark II to refer to its X chassis platform cars that include the Mark II, Cressida, Chaser, and Cresta models. The Supra has appeared in numerous video games, movies, music videos and TV shows. Some of the most notable appearances include the Gran Turismo, Forza Motorsport, Sega GT, Tokyo Xtreme Racer, Need for Speed, Midnight Club, and Forza Horizon video games and The Fast and the Furious film series.

Tom Turbo - 1988 - Netflix

Not much changed for the 1988 year, with the exception of the dropping of two-toned brown exterior paint. The turbo spoiler brake light changed from a square, to a trapezoid shape. Seat pattern was changed from squares to lines, and “foil” on climate control and switch gear changed from light to dark gray. Japanese buyers could select from six different trim packages starting with the top level 3.0 GT Turbo Limited with the 7M-GTEU engine, followed by 3.0 GT Turbo, GT Twin Turbo with the 1G-GTEU DOHC 2.0 L engine, the GT with the 2.0 L DOHC 1G-GEU engine, the G with the 1G-EU and the S with the 1G-EU engine as the base model. All Japanese Supras came with either a 5-speed manual transmission or the 4-speed automatic transmission with ECT-s except the G and the S where ECT-S wasn't available. In Japan the 3.0 GT Turbo Limited, the 3.0 GT Turbo and the GT Twin Turbo were installed standard with a digital instrument panel, the 3.0 L installed versions came with an AM/FM Cassette stereo with an integrated CD player and cruise control. Climate control was also standard on all turbo equipped vehicles, and leather interior was only available on the GT Turbo Limited. Estimated North American Export Production: 19,596

The Team - Netflix

by Editor file under netflix with tags , ,

Criminals don't stop at borders, and neither should the police. "The Team" portrays a group of European police officers fighting international crime throughout Europe. The series is written by specialists Peter Thorsboe and Mai Brostrøm (The Eagle, The Protectors) – names that guarantee well-grounded and vividly inventive cases with complex, stimulating characters.

"The Team" consists of forensics, legal and IT experts, along with profilers and psychologists; their cases take them to Europe's major cities. The series benefits from Europe's huge cultural diversity and is shot in original languages. It sheds light into the reality of today's organized crime, as well as into the fates behind the crimes. "The Team" sees to it that justice wins and the victims' dignity is restored.

Circus Halligalli - Late-night talk show - Netflix

A late-night talk show is a genre of talk show popular in the United States, where the format originated. It is generally structured around humorous monologues about the day's news, guest interviews, comedy sketches and music performances. The late-night talk show format was popularized, though not invented, by Johnny Carson with The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson on NBC. Typically the show's host conducts interviews from behind a desk, while the guest is seated on a couch. Many late night talk shows feature a house band which generally performs cover songs for the studio audience during commercial breaks and occasionally will back up a guest artist. Late-night talk shows are a popular format in the United States, but are not as prominent in other parts of the world. Shows that loosely resemble the format air in other countries, but generally air weekly as opposed to the nightly airings of those in the United States. They also generally air in time slots considered to be prime time in the United States.

Jacobsson was born in Gothenburg, Sweden in 1929. A role in the American film Love Is a Ball (1963) was an attempt to make her a sex symbol. She won the German Film Award for Supporting Actress in Alle Jahre wieder (1967). She was married three times. Her last husband was Austrian ethnologist Hans Winfried Rohsmann (1918–2002). Das Erbe der Guldenburgs - Susanne Uhlen - Netflix

Susanne Uhlen (b. January 17, 1955 in Potsdam, Germany) is a German actress. She is the daughter of actor Wolfgang Kieling, best known as being the voice of “Bert”, of the Sesame Street duo Bert and Ernie, and German actress Gisela Uhlen, niece to German actor Max Schreck of Nosferatu fame. Uhlen began her acting career by doing acting spots in commercials as a child, and appeared in her first film at age 9. As a child, she changed schools each year, as her mother constantly had to relocate to keep up with acting commitments. At 16 she married a fellow student, but her mother became involved and ended the marriage. She then married cameraman Charly Steinberger, with whom she had one son. By this time her acting career was flourishing, but her marriage to Steinberger ended shortly after the birth of their child. In 1981 she met actor Herbert Herrmann, with whom she would have a thirteen-year relationship, producing one child. She has starred in numerous successful German television series, which she continues to do today, along with many film and theater appearances. In 1995 she met and became involved with her current partner, Henry Dawidowicz, a corporate manager for a cosmetics company.
